If you'd looked at the weather we'd been having during the afternoon, it could have been a wash out. But I had the faith and said to Phil and Dale 'lets go for it'.

The sun was shining on the windswept waters of Gildy. But the vis looked good and nobody was in the water. The whole lake to ourselves. Phil turned up bit late but we prepared equipment and got kitted up. I was a bit keen down the metal slope and sat in the water for a few minutes looking down into the clear water. Loads of juvenile fish all around, including a large pike and its youngster.

Phil and Dale arrived and we headed off down the slope and dived round all the platforms surround by our entourage of small fish. There is a new feature below one of the stages, just for me to act the pool shark. Yes a pool table - excellent. Very hard to get the ball to go very far but good fun. I think Phil managed to pot a ball. Then went to one of the platforms and had a go at shut down drills, mask clearing and 20m dash with DV out of mouth across platform to try and simulate out of air drill to buddy and DV air share. All successful.

Phil played with some drills on his Evolution, mainly shallow 4m dive control. In fact at one stage, Dale was well below us at the depth of 8 meters. Dale hopefully will have some pictures to show. An excellent dive for 50 minutes, 10 meter vis at times but cloudy when I did my 'nose in the silt' trick while trying to struggle to do my shut down drills.
