Ben organised a long weekend diving in Swanage with morning trips to the Kyarra and Betsy Anna followed by afternoon dives around the local coast for training last years Ocean Divers.
Well done to Debbie for finishing off her Ocean Diver stuff, and to Malcolm for his outstanding SMB work, and of course last but not least, Alice for surviving several drills with Brian! Much logbook signing was in evidence each evening and everyone achieved something.
Mayte was on an extended kit testing session with pretty much something failing to work or failing to be bought to each and every dive! Perhaps taking up golf or something would be easier?
Nobby was unofficially rechristened as Lobby in honour of his new red suit.
Chris didn't really do much of note, other than generally land everyone in it and get stuck in at any and all oppurtunities!
Mel - MIND THE GAP! Mel showed, in her own unique style how not to exit the boat for the quayside by almost dissappearing between the two, our comments moments before to our trainees along the lines of "Do exactly the opposite to Mel" where never better judged :-)
Laura - bought the entire family and still managed to sneak off for a dive.
Anyway....cracking dives on the Kyarra, vis was excellent on Sat/Mon - Betsy Anna on Sun was ok and probably worth another trip. Drift off Peveril - loads to see including the worlds largest cuttlefish which stubbonly refused to move, change colour, or do anything, despite gentle persuasion (ie: prodding). It was definitely alive though :)
Monster lobbies [Adrian's relatives] and congers on the Kyarra....
